A Note From Rachel

Black Lives Matter. Enough is enough. Racism has once again reared its ugly head and we are now in the wake of a well-deserved uproar. At Box of Style, our community is at the center of everything we do and it is time that we reevaluate how we show up for you. We firmly stand for anti-racism and have vowed to make active allyship a larger part of our organization.

Today through Sunday, we are pausing all branded social content and paid ads in an effort to allow space for Black voices and elevate Black Lives Matter conversations. It's imperative that our team uses this time to have difficult discussions to recognize the ways in which we can do better collectively and as individuals, along with identifying the next steps we will take to make a change for the future. 

I know we aren't perfect, but I believe it's better to show up imperfectly than to not show up at all. We are accountable. We are responsible. We need change and will take action immediately. 

We are donating to Black Lives Matter, The Loveland Foundation, and Color of Change along with facilitating other donation opportunities throughout the year. We intend to formalize a process to include more Black designers, business owners, models, and influencers. This is a work in progress that will evolve with our continued dialogue. We have work to do. 

In an effort to learn, we must listen and I promise, we are listening. So, please share your thoughts or concerns by connecting with us. We pledge to be active in this fight against racism and support our collective Black community indefinitely.
