This first-of-its-kind, Allure Beauty Award winning straightener utilizes T3 Heat°ID and T3 Rapid HeatIQ® and 9 different heat settings to cater to your hair’s specific needs (based on factors including texture, length, and color treatment). It also features an Ion Generator and CeraGloss Ceramic Plates to ensure the smoothest, shiniest results. And thanks to the unique Refresh Mode setting, you can make next-day hair look good as new without the damage!

You’ve never tried a straightener as versatile as this one, and to prove it, we asked T3 to share four different ways the Lucea ID can be used for different ‘dos. Learn about them all ahead, then head HERE to score the bestselling tool for yourself at our members-only price.

#1: Sleek & Straight

For hair health and ease, you may want to start by applying a heat protectant spray to your completely dry hair and clipping into sections. After you complete your hair profile on the smart-touch interface and find your perfect heat setting, simply pass the Lucea ID from root to tip with slight tension to deliver more sleek results. Once all sections are complete, finish the style off with a few spritzes of your favorite hairspray for maximum lasting power.

#2: Smooth Waves

If you prefer a wavier look, follow the same steps above, but instead of passing the Lucea ID straight down the shaft, rock it back and forth as you move from root to tip. For more volume at the root, you can back comb slightly and add a spritz of strong hold hairspray and comb through, then rock the blade of the iron underneath, overdirecting the hair at the root for more lift and shape.

#3: Shiny Curls

If it’s bouncy curls you’re after, prep your hair the same ways you did for the previously mentioned styles. Then, spiral each section of hair around the iron as you move down the shaft, quickly clamping and releasing on your way towards the tip. Wrap the hair the same way (whether away from or towards your face, depending on your preference) for more uniform results, or mix it up for a more natural looking curl pattern.

#4: Next-Day Refresh

To make your day-after hair look more polished, add a spritz of dry shampoo at the roots to absorb excess oil and add some volume, then brush through. Set the iron to Refresh Mode, which offers minimal heat while smoothing the hair, then glide down the hair shaft and lightly twirl the section around your finger (away from the face) while still warm. This will give you shiny, perfectly undone locks with a little bend.
