Spring Trend Alert: Equestrian Style

Although a model galloping down the runway on horseback—dressed in a tweed blazer paired with a riding helmet, pants, and boots—was a much discussed moment from Paris Fashion Week’s Spring 2022 shows, equestrian life has been incorporated into fashion for some time now. And if you’ve been thinking about trying it out this season, we’ve got just the thing: The Edessi bag in our spring box, created by our CURATEUR-in-chief Rachel Zoe for her namesake collection!

This convertible bag, which can be worn on the hips or across the body, was created as an updated version of the classic saddle bag. Its shape, cognac color, stitching, and other details nod to the equestrian style, but subtly enough that you can wear it with all your spring favorites. To help you pick out some of the chicest pieces to pair it with, as well as to learn ways to incorporate even more equestrian touches into your wardrobe, we went straight to Rachel herself.

As for why she was drawn to this style, Rachel attributes that to its ability to combine two different worlds. “To me, equestrian style is the epitome of luxury,” she explains. “At the same time, there is that sense of ruggedness that comes from the outdoors—a connection to nature. That balance is so brilliant. I also love that it is such a timeless way of dressing. Even though we are seeing a sort of resurgence, you will never look out of fashion with subtle equestrian touches, like our Edessi bag or a great flat boot!”

Craving for a more head-to-toe look? While Rachel explains that the bag is a great way to subtly try this trend, she mentions that there are a few fun options for upping the ante—and the convertible nature of this piece makes it easy to incorporate it into them all! “The beauty of this bag is how it can be worn so many ways,” she says. “As a crossbody, I would love to see it with slim fitting pants tucked into leather (or faux leather) boots with a white button down and blazer! Worn around the hips or waist it would look great with a more flowing shape, like a prairie dress and some cowboy boots.”

Ready to try the equestrian trend? Start by picking up one of our spring boxes. On its own, this bag retails for $85, but you can get this entire 5-piece collection of seasonal upgrades (valued at over $400!) for only $99.99! Grab yours now before they sell out!
